Hola Mexico - Day of the Dead
On Thursday the 15th year 6 had dia les meuretous (Day of the dead). The children made masks, practiced a traditional Mexican dance and tried Mexican foods such as guacamole, nachos, salsa sauce and chilly.
Trying different Mexican food!
Piranha Pool.Where you have to complete the challenge in 40 minutes otherwise the piranhas are unleashed.
Trapieze. Where you have to jump from 4m high to reach a bar either 0.5m 1m or 2m. A challenge that year 6 enjoyed.
Zip Wire the highest challenge where you go down a 100m zip wire. You get to race and have a dance contest.
Canoeing the only challenge in a lake and year 6 really enjoyed it and they got to play canoeing football.
Giant swing one of the favorites of year 6. You sit on a swing that goes in the air bigger than a normal swing.
This is one of the knights challenges and this one is the knights training course- where the children had to go round the obstacles.
Climbing. A very fun challenge that year 6 really enjoyed. It was 5m high and everyone had a go.
This is crate challenge the toughest challenge but year 6 really enjoyed.
Caving was the year 6's favorite activity at Robin Wood.
One of the activities was archery and Year 6 really enjoyed it. Lexie was the first person to hit 10 points on her first shot.

On the 2nd of November 6O did forest school with Mr Preston and Miss Taylor in the Wildlife area.They did three activities and they were making hot chocolate,toasting marshmallows and building an obstacle course and they really enjoyed it.

Evacuating to the countryside.
On Monday 24th September year 6 walked down the Beck dressed up as evacuees as part of their topic World War 2. When they arrived back at school they went into the hall to be picked for their host family, chosen by the pupils. Year 6 really enjoyed dressing up.
Year 6 visit to the Streetlife Museum in Hull
The children had the chance to look at some real artefacts from World War 2.
They then met Mary, who was helping them with their evacuation to the countryside.
We learnt about rationing.
A very informative day that will help with the World War 2 topic.
